Eligibility Criteria for Taiwan Scholarship

Eligible Countries: International Students

For Bachelors Degree : Applicant Must have Higher secondary School Certificate
For Masters Degree : Applicant Must have 16 year of education
For PhD: Applicant must have 18 Year of education
High school graduate or higher with a strong academic record, good moral character, and no criminal records.
Applicant must not be a citizen of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Applicant never been to Taiwan for the same degree or LEP as he/she plans to apply.
While receiving the Scholarship, you are not eligible to exchange students with a foreign college/university.
You have never had a Scholarship revoked before by an ROC government agency, or another relevant institution.

Scholarship Amount & Benefits

A monthly stipend of NT$25,000 to LEP recipients
NT$30,000 to degree program recipients.
All expenses incurred during the stay in Taiwan are the responsibility of the recipients.
MOFA does not offer any other subsidies.
MOFA will provide one-way economy-class tickets to recipients for direct flights from Taiwan.
